Site Environmental Management – Level 1

Course Outline

This 30 Minute training course is designed to go through your workplace spill kits and instruct workers on the products and their use. Each course is customised to your workplace equipment and internal procedures.

Course Objectives

This course will look at;

  • Basic understanding of the procedures to follow when there is a spill event
  • Hazard and risk identification in relation to spills and the OHS issues that need to be addressed
  • PPE and Site safety preparation and equipment that are required for use
  • Stopping and controlling the spill
  • Identification and correct use of the spill response items on site including the spill kit
  • Clean up techniques and remedial actions
  • Disposal of contaminated material criteria
  • Follow up and reporting requirements
Course Outcomes

Upon completion participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Prior to delivery of this training we would require a site tour and discussion with your team members to familiarise our trainers with the current site spill equipment and resources for type, size and suitability for response.  This allows us to fully customise the presentation and make it relevant to your work site.
