Those students successfully completing the final assessment receive a nationally accredited Environmental Green Card. Anyone wishing to obtain information about attending the course or booking the course for employees should contact Lisa Brough on(03) 9215 7082 or Mobile 0411 083462. Congratulations to our H&E Dept's Site Environment Management Team!..... who have just been announced by Prof. Ian Young as Winner of the '2009 Swinburne Vice -Chancellor's Industry Engagement Award'. It's a great recognition of the Team's excellent work and demonstrates the Dept's commitment to the industries we align with. Full credit must go to Dept Team Leader Leisa Brough and to our valued industry partners from Statewide River and Stream Management (Graeme Christie, Peter Higgins and Ken Frazer), Rachel Lowe(Fulton Hogan) and Jessica Davison (EPA) and of course to our (former) colleagues in Industry Solutions. What makes this course unique is its flexibility and the broad industry expertise that trainers can share with participants. The quality of the training delivered by Ken Fraser, Rachel Lowe and Graeme Christie is crucial to the successes achieved to date. Each are employed by Swinburne for this course delivery but each also works mainstream in the industry & therefore can keep well informed of industry changes, standards and requirements. They are also involved in trialling new erosion control measures in the field & reporting back to participants with unbiased feedback re products, best practice & latest techniques. |
