Site Environmental Management (SENMH7L)

Course Description:

Through theoretical and practical training, this course will give participants the skills to ensure the appropriate management of the environment as part of their site works. It covers: information regarding the necessity of undertaking environmental management on work sites, including their legislative responsibilities; how to appropriately plan work activities in response to site vulnerability; preventative techniques; and the different options for environmental management currently available and their practical applications for the worksite. The course covers two competencies: RTD2202A - Conduct Erosion and Sediment Control activities; RTC2702A - Observe Environment Work Practices. Successful completion of these competencies will gain credit towards the Swinburne University TAFE Division 'Certificate II in Conservation and Land Management'.
